Young People's Counsellor

Hello, I am one of the Young People’s counsellors within the young person’s project (SEE) at OSARCC.

I am a qualified art psychotherapist and bring those tools into the therapy room. Art therapy is a form of psychotherapy that uses different art materials as the main way of communication. Sometimes it can be hard for us to express ourselves with words, art therapy allows us to share our thoughts, feelings and experiences differently and safely. It’s important to know that you do not have to be ‘good’ at art to attend art therapy, as long as you trust the process, that’s all that matters! I have a colourful background working with children, young people and adults, from homelessness, learning disabilities, Looked After Children, offenders, LGBTQIA+ and much more.

I love being part of a feminist charity that brings strength and sisterhood together. I believe in a client-led approach, where you are able explore your own personal narrative and expression in a safe and curious way whilst finding your empowerment. I will be here to listen, support you emotionally and practically, and I will always believe you.

In my spare time, I love painting, playing with my rabbits Teddy & Mushroom, being in my allotment, out on my Vespa scooting around or just having a good laugh with friends!
