OSARCC is recruiting a SEE Project Outreach Worker
12th April 2021
Are you passionate about preventing sexual violence? Are you an inspiring woman with experience of working with young people? Join a brilliant team that supports young survivors of sexual violence and delivers prevention work in schools.
We are recruiting an experienced Outreach Worker to build links with schools and youth settings in Oxfordshire and run workshops around sexual consent to young people of all genders aged 14 – 18. You will work with a committed group of volunteers to co-facilitate alongside you. You will have experience of running workshops in schools and youth settings and delivering training to professionals. You will have a strong commitment to working within a feminist collective ethos, in the violence against women and girl’s sector. The SEE project is a Big Lottery funded project which aims to provide holistic support to young women and girls who have experienced sexual violence, and to deliver outreach work in schools. The project works collaboratively with local partner agencies, expanding the local provision to young women and girls across Oxfordshire. You will need to be flexible and responsive, willing to vary your role and approach as the project develops.
Oxfordshire Sexual Abuse and Rape Crisis Centre (OSARCC) has been supporting and empowering survivors of sexual violence in Oxfordshire since 1979. We provide independent, free and confidential services in an environment where survivors can receive trauma-informed, specialist support from our experienced and friendly team of staff and volunteers.
